
Seeking to promote the gift of giving, the Aragon Leadership class set up a school-wide fundraiser for the Toys for Tots program. To raise awareness for the fundraiser and promote school spirit, Leadership proposed to place a “Winter Community Tree” in center court. Soon following the placement of the tree, however, controversial conversations fluttered across the school.

Whether it be a few sloppy scribbles in the corner of a handout or an elaborate pattern that encompasses the entire paper, doodling is any form of careless scribbling that many Aragon students have spent some of their class time doing.

“When my parents were waiting for a baby to adopt, I came unexpectedly, so my parents didn’t have any of the baby stuff,” says junior Derrick Leong, “They pulled out a drawer when they first got me and they made a bed for me to sleep in.”

Due to multiple parent, student, and administrative objections to perceived inappropriate content, Director Shane Smuin has twice changed his planned spring play, bringing to light a possible trend to the conservative in the Aragon theater.
Although Aragon High School has never produced an athletic talent like Lebron James, Tim Tebow, or Hope Solo, this year there are several legitimate NCAA talent students at Aragon playing a wide range of sports. This year top-notch college athletic programs are recruiting several athletes from Aragon High School’s senior class. Some of these students include seniors Sara Boushakra, Lauren Croshaw, and Simone Jacobs among others.

Following a challenging year away from competition, the Aragon Robotics Team has witnessed a wide arrange of changes as it gears up to compete in FIRST Robotics competitions. Along with a soaring membership of forty members and a new management system, the team has been engaged in an active season.
