Athletes inducted into Aragon Athletic Hall of Fame

The fifth annual Aragon Athletic Hall of Fame inductions were held on Saturday, January 21 at an induction banquet at the San Mateo Elk’s Lodge. This year’s inductees included six Aragon alumni and one team.

Aragon Jazz Ensemble Looks to a Year of Dedicated Musicianship

The Aragon Band program’s highest level ensemble is the Jazz Ensemble. They are a small group of about twenty talented musicians. The responsibility and commitment is quite demanding, but many students prefer it to the set band material. Senior Patrick Garcialuna says, “The Jazz Ensemble is a place for musicians who really enjoy playing Jazz to do what they enjoy.”

Boys soccer looking ahead with new coach

The boy’s varsity soccer team is gearing up for the upcoming season. At the helm this year is new head coach Tyrone Diaz, an Aragon graduate himself. Diaz was the varsity goalkeeper for the class of 1988, and was an assistant for the frosh-soph team last year. Diaz says, “It feels good to come back and be a part of Aragon again.”
