
Senior Brooke MacDevitt defines the term “senioritis” as “ just becoming really lazy about homework and studying and not wanting to do anything…it’s basically not caring about anything.”
Sweaty palms, a pounding heart, and racing thoughts are all symptoms of cold feet. While some students possess these symptoms, others feel comfortable enough or even enjoy the spotlight while they speak. These two different frames of mind may have something to do with a person’s day-to-day sociability.
Last year, the Aragon Winter Formal Dance made a memorable comeback. Junior Eavan Huth recalls, “It was hysterical that the floor dance floor was actually shaking from people jumping up and down!” There was such a great turnout, with 600 attendees compared to 400 in 2008, that the Leadership committee is bringing it back again.

Sophomore Scott Bell is among the few who, upon having their braces removed, were not overjoyed. Bell plays the trumpet and sings, and when he realized that he could no longer play certain notes on the trumpet because the gap between his two front teeth had closed, Bell went to an orthodontist to have the gap put back into place.
As Facebook surfaces as one of the most popular websites with more than 800 million active users, it seems as though every teen has an account. 80 percent of teens who go online use social networking sites, but this leaves a full 20 percent of online teens who do not participate.
At the end of any given semester, students frantically prepare for finals and scramble to secure their final grades. Many are in jeopardy of being little less than half a percent away from their goal grade.
