
Aragon varsity girls’ basketball team remains undefeated, while the boys’ varsity team dropped to second place after losing to Half Moon Bay on Friday, Feb. 3.

The Aragon wrestling team, currently a formidable force in the Peninsula Athletic League Wrestling bracket, is coached by Steve Ratto, who formerly wrestled on the team as an athlete. Ratto is now well into his third year of coaching the team after an initial year of serving as assistant coach while also continuing his fourth year of teaching at Aragon.

With the coming of a new basketball season, Aragon has hired Sam Manu as the new varsity boy’s basketball coach. Manu, an Aragon graduate of ‘83, has a well-decorated basketball career and was once on Aragon’s varsity basketball team as a student.
The Aragon Girls Varsity Soccer team has developed this winning culture over the past three years.

The boy’s varsity soccer team is gearing up for the upcoming season. At the helm this year is new head coach Tyrone Diaz, an Aragon graduate himself. Diaz was the varsity goalkeeper for the class of 1988, and was an assistant for the frosh-soph team last year. Diaz says, “It feels good to come back and be a part of Aragon again.”

On November 19, the boys’ varsity football team played their first CCS game at home against the Sobrato Bulldogs.
